Miniature paintings

A taste for small things - since I discovered polymer clay, my goal has always been to create dolls (which I'm working on) but last night I got distracted with these adorable wee things... miniature paintings. I often see doll makers and collectors worldwide create so many beautiful and realistic miniature items and they are simply amazing!

That was my inspiration yesterday for creating these tiny watercolor paintings (meant for those tiny kitchens) and I made frames with polymer clay too.

Next time I'll try acrylic and oil on canvas, and I'd also like to get some of those prefab woods to make frames. Aren't these tiny things just adorable? :)

Mother & Daughter

Commissioned oil painting. Given as a gift. Worked on this for about two months, on and off. The photo this was based on was taken in a hotel room with the wall, curtains and windows clearly seen. I had to edit those out so that your eyes go directly to the mother and daughter.
