Vindemia Gallery and Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates presents ‘Art Calendar 2009’

Nov 09 – Nov 16 Memorabilia - an exclusive collection of movie posters, magazines and Oscar’s memorabilia that has been autographed by some of the most sought after Hollywood icons and famed politicians. This is the first time such an extensive exhibition has been showcased in the Middle East

Nov 18 – Dec 12 Donne in Art - Zahura Sultana Hussien (Bangladesh)
Zahura has numerous exhibitions all over the globe as well as many works in private collections. Never afraid to experiment; her work is striking and inspiring

-Wafa Khazendar (UAE)
An artist and poet, she acquires her ideas from keen observation of life’s details, people’s experiences and books she reads

-Nicoletta Burdisso (Italy)
Nicoletta tries to convey deep emotions through an abundance of details, she has always lived by the sea and this shows through in her paintings

-Simonetta Porazzo (Italy)
A divulger and passionate women, her art is full of languages, signs, figures, symbols and sounds. Simonetta communicates, suggests, plays, understands, tries, experiments and most of all she moves.

-Nilofar Mehrin (Iran)
Born in Tehran, Nilofar has completed degrees in Art, Languages and Literature and she has worked as a graphic artist, all the while continuing to paint and draw.

-Anna Caser (Italy)
Anna has been an active artist since 1960 participating in personal and collective exhibitions in Europe, UAS and Canada. Educated at the Fine Arts School in Genoa, she has taught Art, attended the artistic ceramic laboratory in Albissola and completed specialized courses in figure drawing and colour theory.

Dec 14 – Jan 05 Lyrics Georges Bassil (Lebanon) - a self-educated painter, Bassil’s lyrical paintings of intimate encounters captivate viewers of all ages and tastes. His work is noted for powerful presence of his timid subjects and daring. His true spirit lies in the gallery, a place where the public can obtain a real sense of association to his works.
